I believe its a tempered glass been using for couple of years no issues at all great for bedroom, decors, kitchen stuff or wine bottles. I love this shelf it was super handy and beautiful but I have a very small apartment got new set of furniture and I have no space for extra furniture, otherwise its great and Im sad to let it go. I have a clean pet free smoke free home (serious buyer same day pickup only)
